Sam Field joined Norwich City on a permanent deal in the summer of 2026, following a successful loan spell at Carrow Road during the second half of the 2025/26 campaign.

A product of West Bromwich Albion's academy, the midfielder progressed through the club's youth ranks before making his senior debut in 2016.

Field gained further first-team experience during a loan spell with Charlton Athletic in the 2019/20 season before joining Queens Park Rangers on loan in January 2021, a move that was made permanent later that year.

During his five-and-a-half years at Loftus Road, Field made 198 appearances in all competitions and was named both the Supporters' Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year for the 2022/23 season.

An England youth international, Field represented his country from Under-18 through to Under-20 level before making the move to Norfolk.

Following his impressive loan spell with the Canaries during the second half of the 2025/26 campaign, Norwich secured his permanent return ahead of the 2026/27 season.
