Jack Stacey became Norwich City's second signing of the 2023/24 summer transfer window, joining the club after the expiry of his contract at AFC Bournemouth.

Born in Bracknell, Stacey joined Reading as an eight-year-old and progressed through the Royals' academy, first signing professional terms in December 2013.

He made his debut for Reading in a 1-0 win over Ipswich Town, coming on as a late substitute for Jake Taylor.

He made six appearances in the Championship for the club, before heading to Barnet on a month-long loan. Another loan spell followed, as he featured for Carlisle United.

Stacey spent the 2016/17 season on loan once again, playing regularly for Exeter City. The Grecians enjoyed a successful campaign, finishing in the play-off places.

The following season saw the defender leave Reading on a permanent basis, as he signed for Luton Town in June 2017.

His two seasons at Kenilworth Road both ended in promotion, as the Hatters were promoted from League Two during the 2017/18 season, and then won League One in the next campaign.

After two promotions with Luton, Stacey earned a move to Premier League side Bournemouth where he made 98 appearances for the club.

He won promotion for the third time in his career as Bournemouth finished runners-up in the 2021/22 Championship season. In the 2022/23 Premier League season, he made 10 appearances as the Cherries avoided relegation.
