Jakov Medić joined Norwich City from Dutch side Ajax in June 2025.

Born in Zagreb, Croatia, the centre-back began his career in his homeland before moving to Germany in 2018, where he enjoyed spells with 1. FC Nürnberg, SV Wehen Wiesbaden and FC St. Pauli. During his time at St. Pauli, Medić established himself as one of the 2. Bundesliga's standout defenders, making 65 appearances and scoring eight goals across two seasons.

His performances earned a move to Ajax in 2023, where he featured in both the Eredivisie and UEFA Europa League before spending the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Bundesliga side VfL Bochum. There, he made 23 top-flight appearances, scoring once.

Medić has also represented Croatia at international level, making his debut for the Under-23 side in 2022.

In his first season at Carrow Road, the defender made 18 appearances across all competitions.
