Norwich City finalise their preparations for the 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship season with a pre-season friendly against Olympiacos at Carrow Road on Saturday, July 29 (KO 3pm).
The Canaries returned from a training camp in Austria this week, where the squad also took on Ligue 1 side Toulouse in a pre-season friendly.
Goals from new signing Christian Fassnacht and Gabriel Sara, playing his first minutes of the summer schedule, were enough to see City to a 2-0 win.
The Opposition
Olympiacos, owned by Nottingham Forest's Evangelos Marinakis, arrive at Carrow Road having enjoyed good form in pre-season so far.
Most recently, they beat Rangers 3-1 in Glasgow to continue their four-game unbeaten run throughout their season warm-up.
One To Watch
Vicente Iborra
Experienced Spanish midfielder Vicente Iborra joined Olympiacos upon the expiry of his contract with Villarreal this summer.
A four-time Europa League winner with Sevilla (three) and Villarreal, Iborra has been brought in to show his game management ability at the base of the midfield.
Now at 35, he has played over 500 professional games in his career.
The Manager
Diego Martínez
Spanish coach Diego Martínez started his career in the lower divisions of his native country before working his way to Sevilla.
While there, he held a number of positions across the club, leading youth, B and C sides, while also acting as assistant coach for the first team.
He also managed Osasuna, Granada and Espanyol before arriving to the Karaiskakis Stadium.
