After losing their opening game of the campaign at home to Burnley, Huddersfield were then beaten 2-1 by Birmingham City.
A 4-1 defeat at home to Preston North End in the Carabao Cup didn't improve matters, but the Terriers managed a 3-1 win at home to Stoke City in the league on Saturday.
The score was 1-1 at The John Smith's Stadium with 15 minutes remaining, but goals from Danny Ward and former City forward Jordan Rhodes secured the three points.
Ward was the club's top scorer last season with 14 goals in all competitions.

In the 45 meetings between Norwich and Huddersfield since 1960, there have been 15 Norwich wins, 13 Huddersfield wins and 17 draws.
Last time we met was one of the highlights of our 2020/21 season, goals from Emi Buendia, Todd Cantwell, Kieran Dowell, Jordan Hugill and a Teemu Pukki hat-trick securing a 7-0 win at Carrow Road in the snow.

Josh Smith has been appointed to take charge of Tuesday's game, Matthew Jones and Akil Howson his assistants and Dean Whitestone the fourth official.
Smith was the man in the middle for our 1-0 win against Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup last season.
