Sustainability

Norwich City are committed to operating in a sustainable manner and reducing the environmental impact of our practices across all areas of the club.

We take our environmental responsibilities seriously and, together with our colleagues, our fans, our suppliers and our partners, we want to continue our journey to be more sustainable and encourage best practice.

Sustainability Strategy

We are working on our sustainability strategy, with the club's current main objectives being:

• Host our Greenest Matchday, dedicated to educating fans around sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint on a matchday.
• Continue to investigate more sustainable transport options across the board to include players, staff, Directors and fans with the intent to reduce carbon emissions.
• Look into potential partnerships focused on sustainability.
• Continue to evolve and install low energy lighting across the club's building portfolio
• Continue to engage with our staff and involve them in driving projects forward.
• Ensure all departments understand the importance of sustainability and include in each season’s team objectives.
• Anthony Richens, Finance and Operations Director, oversees our sustainability strategy alongside our Sustainability Working Group, which is made up of colleagues from different departments across the club.

We are proud to have been awarded EFL Green Club silver status, highlighting the work the club is doing to become more sustainable.

EFL Green Clubs is a league-wide voluntary scheme, delivered in partnership with GreenCode, that supports clubs to improve their environmental practices and operations. You can read more about the award here.

Across the club, we are always looking for new ways and initiatives to improve efficiencies. This means continuously working on new projects that will improve our practices and reduce our carbon footprint both now and in the future.

We believe the responsibility of care of our planet belongs with all of us, and over time we know we can make a difference. Making small changes to our daily habits and everyday lives, allows us to reduce our environmental impact.

Through our academy, Junior Canaries and Community Sports Foundation we will educate our younger fans inspiring them that, with their input, the future will be greener.
